(A) So if you hold down Command, Shift = + Magnifying Glass.

(B) if you hold down Command, Shif & option = - Magnifying Glass.

That works fine. However.

It "use to be" you can zoom out or zoom in "in a stage aka step by step gradually" just by hold down any of these 2 A or B commands and moving your curser away from the object you want to zoom in or out.

That feature is gone.

I have to zoom out or zoom in by clicks now. Why? Why did you get rid of that feature?

For me Zoom In [Strg/Ctrl]+[+] does not work any longer in Illustrator 25

Neither the "normal" [+]-key nor numpad-[+]. I have already tried to change this shortcut and also restore it - to no avail.

Zoom out [Strg/Ctrl]+[-] works as expected.

Zoom with Mouse wheel (with or without [Alt]) works as well.
