Hi Everyone,

New to Illustrator and only usining at the moment to view customer drawings. The problem is, the drawings I'm receiving have font types that are not on my PC.

Question: Is there a way of converting fonts to graphic as an option on import?

Thanks,

Rob

Yes, there is, but you have tobe careful when producing. Maybe open the file just normally, then follow the font procedure to replace the text in the original file.   The procedure: Create a new Illustrator file. File>Place the file from your client (Linked, not embedded) Select the placed item and Object> Flatten transparency (check "Outline fonts")
