latest update just continues to have a long save cycle then crashes. Should I uninstall and reinstall previous? Anyone else having these crash issues recently?

Which system is it?
Exactly what kind of file are you saving exactly where?
Do you have any third party plugins?
Is a printer installed, set up as the default printer and turned on? Illustrator looks for a printer when saving.
