Hello,

I would like to add customized bullet points to my documents in Illustrator. The bullet point will be a small graphic from our brand standards. How could I do this? Thank you.

Since Illustrator still does not allow inline graphics inside type objects, you would have to create a custom font with a font creation application in order to incorporate it in Illustrator.

As @Kurt Gold said, even in InDesign you need it to be as a character to use it as a bullet.
So you need to make it manually.

Its free and easy to learn.  You just have to paste the vector paths into the charachter you want to use for your custom bullet, then export to .otf.
