Locate Object is recordable, you can record an Action and assign a shortcut to it.

Hi Paco,

Thanks for reaching out. If I am not wrong, you are looking for a shortcut that can help you locate the objects in the layers panel? If yes, I am afraid that Illustrator doesn't give you that option directly from Illustrator's Keyboard Shortcut panel.

There might be a possible solution through scripting hence I am moving this discussion to Illustrator Scripting community so that you can get some replies from our scripting experts.

Regards,

Srishti

Did you use "Insert Menu Item" to create the Action?

Thanks for your response. I found out what you meant for Insert Menu Item and searched for Locate Object online to see where it was on the menu. I only had used the serach magnifying glass at the bottom of the layer panel. Got it to work know. Thaks for the clue.
