ctrl+d for "transform again", really adobe?

Who in the world come up with these keyboard shortcuts! I'm beginning to understand that adobe loves to be a snowflake, but ctrl+d that does not duplicate? really adobe?

You will have to ask the first programmers of Adobe Illustrator in 1987. Transform Again to duplicate the last transformation will duplicate if that was part of the transformation.
