customize Blend Tool Preset

Is there a way to customise the blend tool preset? Every time I use the blend tool I have to re-enter the desired blend options, and it takes a lot of time. Instead of just entering the blend tool command and be done with it I have to open Blend options, change the mode to specified steps and change the amount of steps, and I'd like to be able to eliminate that step.

Have you tried changing

Option > Blend > Blend Options

without having any object selected?

Are you referring to"every time after relaunching Illustrator"?

Usually the blend tool keeps the last used setting. Unless it cannot be applied, which is the case when you blend groups or objects with effects or the like. Can youperhaps show something?
