Desaturated colors, even before exporting

Hello!

 

When I pick a bright color in the color picker (left in the image is it's preview), the actual object in Illustrator (the right color) is way less saturated for some reason. It's not transparent or set on multiply or anything, I just made a basic square in a new file and colored it.

I guess it has to do with the presets or somehting like that, but I don't know where and how to change that, so please help me, thanks!

I think it is? Not sure tho, I do not know much about the deeper functions and settings of AI

 

And actually I don't know if i need it to be CMYK, but isn't that just normal default? It's for a little magazine, so it will be printed

OK - if it will be printed, most of the time CMYK is needed.

 

You can't print that pinkt color (unless you use spot colors such as Pantone). It's not inside the CMYK color space. So Illustrator converts that color through color management.
