The direct selection tool is not selecting paths as it should. Sometimes it will select it and I can drag a line as I normally would. Other times (and this is very often), I can be right on top of the path and no matter how hard I try, it will not select it. Even when the little black dot shows up to tell me it can select whatever is under it (picture attached), it doesn't. I don't have the layer or object locked - all is normal and should be fine to select. Please let me know if this is a bug and/or if there is a fix for this. Thank you!
Using Illustrator 25.2.3 on a Mac Book Pro 15-inch, 2018 running OS 11.2.3
Sorry to hear about your experience. Do you see this behavior while working on a specific file or all? Have you tried resetting preferences of the app? I'd also suggest you to update the macOS to the latest version & see if it helps.
