Disappearing art

I'm new to using adobe illustrator, and I've been experimenting with it a bit tonight; and I seem to have done something to make my work disappear, but it is still visible in the layers tab? Was wandering if anyone could help me figure out where I went wrong f how to get my art back?

Try Cmd(Ctrl)-Y which is the toggle for View>Preview/Outline.
