Dot dot dot arrow dot.... in strokes!

Hi everyone! I'm creating a layout for a customer where I use a lot of strokes to show flow and direction. See attached. Is there a way to style this so that I can apply it to any shape, and control color, spacing between dots, frequency of arrow heads showing up... etc. Thank you for your help!

If you adjust the distances and the size carefully AND turn off the adjust to corners options for dashes in the strokes panel, then you could try and stack a scatter brush that contains the arrow on a dashed stroke that has the dots.

Or is that how you made this one already?

Thanks Monica. No. I actually created a stroke, and then manually added the triangles ever so ofter. I figure there most be a way to create a style that combines both the dots and the arrows.

multiple strokes can be applied via the appearance panel.

You will have to adjust it carefully.
