I've noticed a huge performance difference in dragging artwork between different open documents vs trying to copy and paste in place. Has anyone else experienced this or can explain it? I often work with large complicated documents and illustrator really struggles to copy/paste but is much better if I drag the elements. I have to manually align the items as I haven't found a way to and place the elements in the same position but it's still a big time saver.
yes same issue when you hold alt in a doc vs copy and paste, C&P takes way too long, drag copy is instant. just annoying that thing slike this have to be worked around. it's been like it for years, but adobe dont seem keen on fixing issues just adding 'features'.
