Drawing with graphic style not working.

I am looking to draw hoses using a graphic style tool, but the lines I am drawing are not showing the actual straight pattern, instead they seem to be twisting the parttern. How can I fix it?

I want straight lines when I draw it.   If the line bends then I need the pattern to follow a curve, but instead the drawing is showing up twisted as picture below.

You could try a gradient across stroke.

use a gradient stroke instead. then when you curve a line, the gradient will follow the curve. the effect you want is not possible (or realistic at least) with a fill color gradient.

Good to hear that. (William posted the same idea around the same time).
