Any effects I use in illustrator, no matter what the shape is that I'm working with, come out in a square shape. It's not pixelated it's just in the shape of a square. To explain further, if I have a circle shape that I want to put a drop shadow on, the shadow is square shaped. Any ideas on why this happens?
