Dropping a video into Illustrator

I have an illustrator file and would like to drop a video into a shape-or-window. Can this be done?

Not directly, but you can add via Acrobat. Here is a link that might be helpful:

You may also place the Illustrator file and have a look at the rich media options in InDesign.

So you’re saying I should put the illustration into InDesign, then create a window and drop the video into the InDesign file?
