Hello, I am having the problem of dull colors in Illustrator.

I did a screenshot of the illustrator opening screen and then opened in in illustrator and the colors were suddenly dull. I opened the same screenshot in preview and photoshop and the color was accurate and the same. I have lived with this problem for a long time and it's very frustrating .

I have checked the settings and the file is RGB

my illustrator and photoshop color profiles are the same

I opened the document as an art & illustration  file, not a file for print.

Please help.....

You may turn on the warnings for profile mismatches, but in the case of Illustrator, profiles for png files are ignored. Even if the profile is different from your working RGB space (your screenshots have a Display profile) Illustrator ignores the profile and assumes your working RGB color space (sRGB).

Try to convert your screendumps in Photoshop to sRGB and save them as .psd

Good to hear that.
