Identify the font (visually), get the font, delete the shapes which make up the text, add new characters.

Check if this is a vector PDF. Just go to View > Outline. If there are paths, you can edit it.

Then you can try if the text is still editable or if you need to delete it completely and then create a new text object.

Hey Monika thanks for the reply,ive gone to view>outline & when I hover the mouse over the word it shows as a path.

See attached screen shot.
