English OS, German regional settings and keyboard: Unable to use special characters

Hi All,

on a fresh Illustrator installation (English OS, German regional settings and keyboard on Win10) I am unable to use any character that needs ALT GR as a Modifier. I therefore can not access €, @ | and a lot of pretty important letters. Did anyone else run into this – how can one fix this?

Illustrator is running in English as well?

Does that work with other apps?

Yup English version. Other (non CC apps) running in English on the same machine don't have this problem, also Photoshop works fine. Indesign lets me type a few special characters, but here I also can't write an @. I will write a report, thanks.
