.eps files showing as unknown format and cannot be opened.

Eps files saved as recently as 2020 are now not opening on Illustrator 2021. Which is a big issue for me as I design custom sportswear and need access to previous designs I've done. Any suggestions or ideas as to what I should do? Its happening with nearly all my files over a certain age.

I hope you still have the original .ai files.

EPS can be very destructive.

Its doing the same thing with the .ai files as well.

You can still install 2020 and save them as .ai

What happened? Did you just update the application? Or also the system?
