hi i have an issue with the eraser on adobe ilustrator, every time i want to use it , it draw a line color, and dont erase anything, idk why this happend, its like a pencil.

nevermind i use the selection tool and then just erase

• If nothing is selected, the eraser tool will erase anything you drag across
• If something is selected, the eraser tool will eraser only what is selected

In your case, you had something selected and were trying to erase something that was not selected, so nothing was getting erased.
