error on brush on shape

hi, I have installed the newest 25.3.1 64 on a new computer and I have a weird error on drawing a shape with non straight edges. The brush is set for normal 1pt and basic. I have attached the example. Anyone can help on this issue?

I can see no attachment.

We have tried to view the file on a different pc and the brush error doesn't appear.    The Brush on the error file was changing from BASIC brush to an artistic brush and we could not change back to BASIC line.  Any ideas why this might be happenging?

We have completely wiped the PC and started over.  It is ok now

When drawing with the brush tool Illustrator will always apply a brush.

"Basic" is not a brush. It deletes the brush from the stroke.

If you want to draw without a brush, use the pencil tool.
