Error when importing some images

Hi!

this happens when i try to import some images in adobe illustrator

I can’t understand, because that happens with specific images. 

usually when transferring some image from iphone to macbook by airdrop, or when i save some images in photoshop and import into illustrator

 

Can someone help me? this is very annoying

Long and short answer: There is something wrong with your hardware acceleration. Check the settings, update your graphics driver, verify your color management settings and monitor profile.

It has been reported many times, 16 bit png's from an iPhone do not display correctly in Illustrator.

Resave them in Photoshop as 8 bit PNG's.
