I teach Woodshop at the high school level. I use Illustrator as a drawing program for our laser cutting machine. I've been running into a problem when exporting files to a USB. I keep getting this error message (I attached a screenshot):
"the oporation cannot complete because of an unknown error [PARM]".
This has never happened until this year. I am not an AI expert but I always follow the same steps for exporting DXF files and this has started poping up nearly every time.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Michael,
Sorry to hear about this. Would you mind sharing version of the Adobe Illustrator & OS? Do you get this error while exporting a specific DXF file?
Have you tried resetting preferences? If not, please try doing that and let us know how it goes.
**Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.
Regards,
Ashutosh
