Error while opening Illustrator file "Unknown file format"

hi, i have a problem with a file. I have saved a work and when I tried to re-enter to illustrator it tells me that the file is in an unknown format. How do you fix it?

There are a few things you can try. Rename it and see if that works. Place it into an InDesign document and export as EPS

Sorry to hear about this trouble. Please try the suggestions shared by Michele. If that doesn't help,  we can take a look and see if the file can be repaired. Please email your file to file@adobe.com & we will take a look at the file.
