Export files in my "Recents"

Whenever I export my Illustrator boards, those exported files show up as my  "Recent" files the next time I open Illustrator and end up pushing out my original .ai file, forcing me to navigate back to my file the long way. So for example, I have an .ai file with 30 boards. I export them as JPEGs to a separate folder. Those 30 JPEGs then fill the ten spots in my "Recent" panel. Has anyone else experienced this?

"Has anyone else experienced this?"

Yes, and I don't think the exports belong in the recent files.
