File won't open, cause illustrator to crash

Hi,

I have a file that caused illustrator to crash. When I try open the data recovery file the error code ID: -54 comes up with the message that the file can't be read. I've tried uploading the file in question but it is too big for the file attachment service on the community post. Anyone able to help me?
