Files saved with Adobe Illustrator 2021 - now corrupt.

Hi,
I have been using Illustrator 2021 for as long as its been out without any issues, until last week.

I have add no new software or anything - so I don't understand the issue.

I'm on a mac running Sur 11.3.

Last week - any file I saved in AI 2021 just closed without saving. This is old files and new files - every one would just close when I hit save.   And sometimes if I clicked on a path or object in the document the document would go blank, until I zoomed in or out.

I can open old files that were previously saved as AI 2021 in AI 2020. They also quit when I click save -BUT if I create and save a new document - it all works.

So it seems that the files that were once saved in AI 2021 - appear to be corrupt somehow.

I have reinstalled AI2021 twice now and still not working.

Anyone else experience the same issue?

Thanks.

Exactly where do you save files?

When updating - do you reset the preferences?

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about your experience. We'll be happy to look into it.

Do you save these files on a network drive or local drive? If they are on a network drive, copy them on the local hard drive and see if it helps.

If you still have issues, you may follow the troubleshooting steps given on this help article to resolve the file related issues. Hope it helps.

Regards,

Ashutosh
