Fill colour not showing up behind pattern?

Hi there,

My fill colour is not showing up, this happens sometimes and i know it will be something really obvious that I'm not doing. I've selected the area but the colour just doesn't want to show?

Can anyone help me with this please?

Maybe your pattern has a white background?

Double click your pattern in the swatches panel to check and remove it in the Pattern maker.
