Fix LINKS - make link paths relative & link multiple instances!

Actually, just make the links function EXACTLY like they do in Indesign - that works, that doesn't break every link when you copy an entire folder with all its links in a sub folder to another computer and then when you open the file you dont have to relink every single link and every instance of every link even if they were all saved within the same folder as the illustrator file! This is backwards, tedious, unnecessary crap, why give us cloud documents before you fix the ability to save and move the documents locally?

You can't even copy the name of a link to help you search for it! its like you deliberately neuter this functionally to force users to use other apps, and / or cloud services! I use indesign and XD regularly, but they are not always appropriate for what I am creating, just fix Illustrators linking capabilities so designers and artists are not spending hours tediously retyping the names of links into their os search to try to relink every individual instance of each god dam link every time we open an illustrator document an another computer! FIX IT! this is so disrespectful to your customer. also add a spell checker to these forums ffs…

Please follow this link, go to the Give Feedback section, and submit your request to Illustrator Feature Requests. That's where Adobe engineers will see it and can possibly do something about it. It's mostly just your fellow users here.

Thanks,
Peter
