  1. Select the artwork that is to be mirrored.
  2. Select the Reflect tool.
  3. Hold down Alt/Option to define the point about which the artwork is to be mirrored and Left Mouse Button click on the canvas.
  4. Set the reflection axis to either Horizontal or Vertical and change the Angle if needed.
  5. Click OK to reflect the artwork or Copy to reflect a copy of the artwork.

Well if you have a look at the picture you'll see that I have an object selected in the lower right and the transform centre is near the top of the lower right triangle. I would like to snap the transform centre to the top of the triangle. However I can find no way to do this.

I am trying to mirror a copy of the selected object around a specific mid point on a line.

Ok that works fine. Just as a note I think it would be good if the free transform tool would allow you to snap the position of the transform centre like you could with the reflect or rotate tools.

Thanks

Thank you. Great to hear this helped.

FYI: Different tools may allow you to adjust the reference point using different methods…
- Holding down Alt/Option and clicking
- Dragging the reference point
- Clicking to redefine the reference point
