Got hacked or My illustrator crashed

Some of my Ai. files are gone from my cloud. Is it possible that someone hacked me? Is there a way to retrieve them? Please help me out!

Did you keep backups (off the cloud, or in a different cloud)? This is every bit as important as the days before the cloud, but some web sites give the terrible advice that you can use the cloud and magically backups don't matter any more. Wishful thinking.

Unfortunately not; as trusted the adobe cloud storage blindly! Usually, I do have it on both, pc and cloud but my drive was fully packed! Now Cloud was my only way out!
