Guide lines disappear while I move them

Hi guys, 

when I move a guide line in illustrator it dissappears until I let it go. It's perfectly fine when I take a new one from the ruler, but I won't see ones that I've created before while I move them.
Which is a hassle, having to guess the pixel you're letting them go on.
