for some reason the guides started working in an irrational manner.

If i try to select 2 line next to each other they would nomrally highlight, now they dissapear. if i click in another area they reapear. Can't copy lines and move.

If i open another doc they seem to work fine. How can i fix this issue.

thanks

This may be because of the font you are using. I have found some fonts are harder than others to select and edit. I'm not sure why this is but you might try typing a couple of different text areas with different fonts to see if illustrator is working in an irrational manner due to the font you are using. Whenever I have a font issue I always clean my font caches just to rule that out.
