Have the Marks & bleeds output options changed??

I normally have the option to choose Trim, Bleed and Registration marks but now only see Trim and Registration. Why can't I choose bleed marks? has it disappeared for anyone else?

even with bleed selected (as in my screenshot below), im not getting bleed marks on my pdf.

Yes if you specify the Bleed amount and select Trim marks all the info will be there.

This example viewed in Acrobat has a 5 mm bleed and cropmarks.

used to be able to see bleed as an option there too, as is in this screenshot (found via image search)

Yes, I don't see them, they seem to have gone a long time ago.

I wonder how useful it is to have marks for the bleed.

Trim, yes, you need to be able to use those to cut the paper, but then you cut into the bleed.

The bleed area will be visible in the PDF (if you extend your artwork into the bleed).

thank you! so if i select trim and add bleed to the artboard, thats sufficient right for professional printing? im not too familiar with printing personally, but have worked with many printers who insist on bleed
