Is it only happening with this file, or all files?

Did you just update - to what version?

If so did you trying deleting prefs?

WHat kind of file are you saving exactly where?

Network? Local?

Which file and folder names?

What's in your files?

Is a printer connected, set up as the default printer and turned on? It's important.

Can you try and disable "Save in background" in the preferences?
