And what exactly? You need to be more specific. If you imported a pixel im age, the obvious answer would be to do it in Photoshop. Otherwise you can always apply the respective effect from the filters. For vector artwork you can use the recolor artwork options. Anything else may get a little more complicated, but realyl a much better explanation would be required.

For RGB and Grayscale images you could put a white rectangle on top and give that the blending mode Difference.
