So what you need is a random arrangement of shapes. Random order, random sizes, random coloring?

If they are all squares (and not some of them just rectangles, then try the global edit.

I have told you to use the Global edit.

The only option I selected from the menu is Smart Guides. It's in the same position in any language Illustrator and also has the same shortcut.

Didn't the eyedroper tool did that? Copy a shape and not just the color if we wanted to! I remember something like that...
