How load and use Japanese fonts?

Illustrator is not loading Japanese fonts. I installed them as administrator for all users. I even tried restarting Illustartor. Still no dice.

I am using Adobe Illustrator 25.1.

How do I get this to work?

Maybe Preferences > Type > Show Font Names in English?
