How to Automate Single Layer Export

I have over 100 AI files with multiple layers in each. For each of those files, I need to export every individual layer as its own .svg file.

Is there a way to create an action to accomplish this? Or does anyone know of a script?

Thanks!

Did you try the following link

Hi

thanks! I clicked on some expired link.

SVG is okkkkay if you are a web designer. I need pdf output or other
printing compatible solution. Its a shame all adobe sw is so bloated and
there's no native solution for this. Must have been in core since forever

Well, obviously you want to have an additional function, no? Other people who come here do as well. So how can a software be blaoted if there are so many functions missing?

Apart from that: proper workflow planing means that you first take a look at what the software offers and then take a look at what output you need and then think  about how to approach  the project and then start to work.

You can use "Save for screens" to output single objects to PDF.

Probably what you want can be scripted.

Hi @Zoltan Gyulai

I suppose PDF export is available in the script.

And also, you can go through this link

https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator/script-export-pdf-en-serie/m-p/11158007

Or you can post your question in separate thread with your well defined requirements instead of blaming the software. People here can help you or may be solution of your problem alreday exists.
