Is there a way to make this image on illustrator effectively with perspective tool and text?

I would try the Free Transform Tool (E).

you don't need the perspetive tool, you just need the free transform tool 😉

Thanks for that. I am curious now how you did that in the first place but if the entire sketch was on perspective. The image you drew shows the P is facing directly at me, but I want it to face out to the side at an angle so I can show the little silhouette of a man pulling the image up... :).. thank you btw, I'm new at this...
