Hi,

Is there a way to measure the distance between elements in the latest illustrator?

I really love the way I can measure in Adobe xd and photoshop, but it is really missing from Illustrator, I haven't figured out how to do it yet. The answers I found on the internet are not very helpful. I do not wish to use the ruler, which is not fast enough.

Thanks!

I would try this one, but I just don't seem to find it.

Is there a way like in xd or Photoshop, that by pressing a key (like ctrl or alt) and holding the cursor to elements while one element is selected, then it would show me the distance?

I am using manually rectangles, which is truly not the best solution. I never really needed this tool/option, but recently I have been noticing, that I got so used to it in other adobe software that I want to use it in illustrator too.

The VectorScribe option: this is a commercial plugin.Probably the best solution for you.

Just hovering a cursor between elements: no, this doesn't exist in Illustrator natively. I have also not yet seen a plugin that could do this.

Maybe this plugin could help: https://specctr.com/cloud/home

Hi, VectorScribe could be an option, I found it online, but I do not find it in my illustrator. Can that one be installed as a plugin too?

VectorScribe is a third party plugin. You will have to license it separately from Astute Graphics. Tehre is a demo available so you can test if it fits into your workflow.
