I've drawn a large tree and I want to make a stop-start animation by saving individual illustrations of the process of a flower blossoming on illustrator. (i've already drawn out the process of a flower blossoming in around 30 assets and want to swap out each individual asset to the next stage of the blossoming. )

Is there a way i can swap out a large number of assets with a new asset at the same time as well as keeping new asset in the same position.??

You want to play that in Illustrator?

Swapping out elements is possible with symbols and you can also gnerate assets when implementing visibility variables. Or you could put them on their own layers and then export an SWF with layer based animation.

But since you would need to assemble the animation in a different software anyway: Create different artboards for the frames, then eport them and assemble in Photoshop.
