When I try to update Adobe Illustrator CS6 for the Mac OS X 10.13.6, High Sierra, I get the following errors when I try to update it through the Application's help menu:

Extension Manager 6.0.8 Update
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U43M1D207

Photoshop Camera Raw 9.1.1(CS6)
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U43M1D207

Adobe Illustrator CS6 Update (version 16.0.4)
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U43M1D207

Adobe CSXS InfrastructureCS6
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U43M1D207

Adobe Bridge CS6 5.0.2 Update
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U43M1D207

This worked perfectly a year and a half ago, the last time I did a clean install of KMac OS X High Sierra.

WHEN I found these actual downloads of the updaters, and try it by downloading them directly and then clicking setup, I get the following error:

"Updates could not be applied. Adobe Application Manager may be damaged. Download and install a new copy of Adobe Application manager [cliackbel link]

Problem is, it doesn't go to the link to the newer version of Adobe Application Manager. but just to the generic creative cloud page.

So I googled around and found what I think is the latest version of Adobe Application manager for the Mac, version 10.0.0.49.  Does anyone know if 10.0.0.49 is the latest version of AAM?

I clicked the downloaded updaters again, and it's still the same error.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

I was able to find the direct links to four of the five updaters, as stated above.  I will put those links in a later post as they are still on my old hard drive and I have to find them.

But of those five installers:

Extension Manager 6.0.8 Update

Photoshop Camera Raw 9.1.1(CS6)

Adobe Illustrator CS6 Update (version 16.0.4)

Adobe CSXS InfrastructureCS6 (3.0.2)

Adobe Bridge CS6 5.0.2 Update

The first two work without error.

I cannot find for the life of me a link to Adobe CSXS InfrastructureCS6 (3.0.2) and from what i can tell, it only fixes a bug when you enter special charterers in your Adobe login, so to avoid the issue, make sure you have no special characters in your Adobe login.

That leaves the Illustrator and Bridge updaters on which we are currently SOL.

I looked at the log files of those updaters on my old hard drive:

The Bridge updater updates:

Successfully installed 1 component:

- Adobe Bridge CS6_5.0.2_AdobeBridge5-mul

So I reason that I can just do a finder copy on the Adobe Bridge Folder??  Comments?

The Illustrator updater updates from 16.0 to 16.02 and then to 16.04.  Here's the log for the 16.02 step which is the big one:

Successfully installed 33 components:

- Suite Shared Configuration CS6

- Adobe Linguistics CS6

- AdobeColorCommonSetCMYK CS6

- AdobeIdeaPluginCS6

- Adobe XMP Panels

- Adobe Player for Embedding 3.3

- AdobeColorJA CS6

- Required Common Fonts Installation

- Adobe CSXS Infrastructure CS6

- PDF Settings CS6

- Adobe Utilities CS6

- Adobe ExtendScript Toolkit CS6

- AdobeColorEU CS6

- Camera Profiles Installer

- AdobePDFL CS6

- Adobe Illustrator CS6 Core_AdobeIllustrator16en_USLanguagePack

- Adobe Extension Manager CS6

- Adobe NPS Panel

- PDF Settings CS5

- Adobe Bridge CS6

- AdobeTypeSupport CS6

- Adobe WinSoft Linguistics Plugin CS6

- AdobeHelp

- Adobe Illustrator CS6 Core

- Adobe Hunspell Linguistics Plugin CS6

- AdobeIdeaPluginCS6-loc

- Adobe Illustrator CS6 Support

- AdobeColorNA CS6

- AdobeColorCommonSetRGB CS6

- Photoshop Camera Raw 7

- Recommended Common Fonts Installation

- AdobeCMaps CS6

- Adobe CSXS Extensions CS6

The 16.04 updater only does this:

Successfully installed 1 component:

- Adobe Illustrator CS6 Core_16.0.4_AdobeIllustrator16-mul

Problem is, I don't know where all these files are kept.

Like the Bridge updater, it seems obvious to do a finder copy of the 16.0.4 folder from my old HD to the new one, replacing the 16.0 version.

So then i took a look at the HD/Library folder and the ~USER/Library Folder.

here's what I found as far as differences and what I did as far as finder copying from my old hard drive to my new one:

Applications:

Adobe Bridge Folder [replace folder]

Adobe Illustrator Folder [replace folder]

Library:Application Support:Adobe: AAMUpdaterInventory: 1.0

PhotoshopCameraRaw7-7.0 [only if not updated]

HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PCD [replace folder]

Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe PDF/Extras  [merge folder]

Which adds these files:

PDFX1a 2001.joboptions

PDFX3 2002.joboptions

PDFX4 2007 JPN.joboptions

HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/caps [replace folder]

HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Color  [merge entire folder]

HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CS6ServiceManager [merge entire folder]

HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Linguistics [merge entire folder ]

HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/PCF  [merge entire folder]

HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/PDFL  [merge entire folder]

HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/ssc [replace entire folder]

HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Startup Scripts CS6 [copy entire folder]

HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/TypeSupport [merge entire folder]

HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Uninstall [Should I replace entire folder— not sure about this??? I didn’t replace it because the uninstall files are all of the form “{0A880438-9557-49ED-8E86-BD7B24612713}.db” and I don’t know if those long numbers as file names are unique to my old installation?  There are 120 such files, really 60 * 2, each having one .db version and one .js version]

HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/XMP [merge entire folder]

HD/Library/Preferences/com.adobe.PDFAdminSettings.plist [replace]

~Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater [ merge folder]

~Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Illustrator CS6 [ replace folder]

~Library/Application Support/Adobe/CS6ServiceManager/cache/ExtensionManifest/ILST_16_0_0_en_US.cache [add file]

~Library/Application Support/Adobe/CS6ServiceManager/cache/ExtensionManifest/ILST_16_0_4_en_US.cache [add file]

~Library/Application Support/Adobe/CS6ServiceManager/logs [replace folder]

~Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE [merge folder]

I have attached the log files below. If anyone can can re-assure me that I did all this correctly?  I'd very much appreciate thoughts on the Uninstaller folder.

The applications all launch properly and indicate the correct, updated version, but that is the only 30 second test I did.  I really don't feel good about doing this kind of stuff by hand, so if anyone has a work around regarding the errors, I'd prefer that.

Thanks!
