I try to open a picture but it doesn't open

I need to load a photo into the artboard, but it doesn't come out when I open it, and it doesn't come out when I drag in a file.

I'm still struggling today with this.

Where was the file generated? Is it possibly PNG from an iPhone? If it is, open in Photoshop and resave as an 8-bit PNG instead of the 16-bit that the iPhone generates.

This is a png file captured with a laptop. Can't we just import it as an illustration? Thank you.

When I checked, the file we tried to load is 8 bits, but the picture doesn’t come out.

Have you tried using File>Place? Then decide if you want to link or embed the image.
