I have a custom preset PDF modes that I've been using for months. Suddenly it's saving what normally is a 1mb file at 30mb file? How is that possible? It's not compressing and PDFs?

Thanks for the quick response. I did a work around. There was an imported file that was over 30mb. I brought it into Photoshop, made TIFF and reimported. Problem solved.

Thanks for the quick response.

What's in the file?

Which other options do you set up?

Which version of Illustrator are you using?

About what kind of files are you talking?

Are you always doing a "Save as" or "Save as Copy" or just a "Save"?

Are there perhaps any other informations worth to be mentioned in order to catch the culprit?

Sometimes (or rather often) it is pretty useful to share a sample .ai file, so one can take a closer look at it.
