Illustator not working

hi freinds, 

i am new to this world .. 

the problem i am facing is : when ever i open a file in illustrator its not showing any thing. but if try to move the file window in it, it shows for couple of seconds. 

can any help me in this issue ?

Hi there,

Apologies for the delayed response. Would you mind sharing version of the OS & Illustrator? Given your statement, most likely this issue should be solved by Marlon's suggestion.

If it isn't, you may try resetting preferences and see if it helps.

**Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.
