Illustrator 2020 crashing on MacBook Pro 2017 os Catalina

Hi, my problem is on adobe illustrator when am working on one project and a need open a new artboard illustrator doesnt open new, just duplicate old artboard on a new artboard at new windovs.

Sorry to hear about the trouble. I would request if you can share a few more details like:

1. The exact version of Illustrator.
2. Could you please confirm what exactly is happening at your end? As per the Title, Illustrator is crashing however as per the body of the post, you are unable to add a new artboard.
