I just recently upgraded to the most recent version of illustrator and I am finding that it is changing colors on me when I save and reopen documents. I have a style guide that I use for my company and the colors within the document change every time I open it. Even when I go back and change the color to the correct hex code it will change back to something different almost immediatly.

The middle teal color for example is hex code #76c795 when I open the file, I try and change it to the correct code of #74c8b0 but by the time I click back out of the swatch panel it's changed it to #74c3ae.

I've attached a file to show what I'm talking about, but even the top "correct" colors are still incorrect. They are closer than the way the file opened. but still not the correct hex code or CMYK values.

Don't use hex codes when creating something for print.

Hex codes are just another way of specifying RGB colors and are converted to CMYK values when working in a CMYK document.

Your color settings indicate that Color management is turned off, but there will always be conversions from RGB to CMYK when you work in a CMYK document.

How is color management set up?

How are files set up? Color mode, color profiles?

Color mode is CMYK since these files are mostly for print. I'm noy sure where to find the color pofiles, but when I go to Color Settings it says Setting: Emulate Adobe Illustrator 6.0 in the drop down menu. Thanks for your help!

"Emulate Illustrator 6.0" pretends to turn off color management. Actually it just puts you out of control.

Please learn how it works and then configure it to your needs.
