Illustrator 2021 Crash on Mac OS Big Sur

My Illustrator continues to crash across mutliple documents. It sometimes crashes in the middle of working and I will loose my save if it has not auto-saved. Otherwise, it will crash 9/10 times when trying to save a document. I have reset my settings/preferences and this did not solve the issue. I thought it could have been custome patterns/assets causing the crash, however it has been happening across multiple documents with and without assets. I am running Illustrator 2021 on Mac OS Big Sur 11.0.1. Please Help

Is a printer connected? Illustrator looks for one when saving.

Do you save on the local harddisk?

Also: some people have found solutions for other Big Sur issues. One of them being to turn off the GPU acceleration.
