illustrator 24.2.1 does not copy and paste in place

Hi everyone, it happens very often that illustartor doesn't copy and paste in place.

Sometimes it does but very often it doesn't. I can't understand the problem.

With the shortcuts I thought I was typing wrong, but the problem also remains with the menu commands.
If I copy and paste in place, most of the time I paste in the upper left of the artboard. Can anyone help me please?

Are you pasting into the same document? Or a different one? Is the other document set up in the same way? Same size, same kind of rulers?

When was the last time you rebooted the computer?

And if a reboot does not already help, please try and reset the preferences. Rename the folder. That way you can revert if it doesn't help.
